I have saw so many people rave about this fragrance & I just feel like it has to smell good. Also, the bottle is so pretty! This fragrance has notes of raspberry, super-natural rose, and akigalawood. Let me know in the comments if you have this fragrance & what you think of it!</image:caption>

<image:caption>This one right here baby? I thought I loved Byredo “Mojave Ghost” the best but “Bal D’Afrique” stole my heart! It has notes of bergamot, African marigold, bucchu, violet, cyclamen, vetiver, and Morccan cedarwood. This fragrance does not smell like anything I have smelled before, not even being dramatic! I would describe the scent as “clean royalty”. It is strong enough where I can wear it on it’s own but soft enough where I can layer it with other fragrances. The girls love options so that’s right up my alley!</image:caption>

<image:caption>This fragrance has had the internet in a chokehold & it’s for a good reason! I saw this fragrance featured on several “fragrance pages” and went ahead and tried out. It smells so friggn good. It has notes of bergamot, nutmeg, rhubarb, lychee, turkish rose, vetiver, incense, cedarwood, cashmeran, musk, and vanilla. This scent is so refreshing and “girly” to me. Also, the bottle is super stunning.</image:caption>

This fragrance has notes of blackberry, bulgarian rose, olden wood. Also, the price is not bad at all compared to the sillage and intensity of the scent.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - The “Vegan Experience” -FUMO Restaurant - Customer Service</image:title>
<image:caption>Upon arrival to their Upper West Side (108th Street & Broadway) I noticed that the restaurant was located on a street that was not as busy - especially for a Saturday afternoon in New York City. When I checked in for my reservation the hostess noted that I had to show proof of vaccination to be seated in doors so I requested a table outdoors. When seated, I was greeted with a pitcher of water, bread and a complimentary oil. I was note a huge fan of the outdoor seating set up. Even thought the tables were a cute marble top, the chairs were foldable and very low setting. However, the customer service I received during my visit was okay. I realized that what I didn’t like was that none of the service providers were happy/enthusiastic. I mean, it is NYC so you cannot expect the most charming personalities - but still. It just wasn’t giving me anything to add to my dining experience which definitely docked some points from my FUMO experience.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - The “Vegan Experience” -FUMO Restaurant - The Food</image:title>
<image:caption>As I mentioned earlier, I am currently trying to transition my diet. Therefore, I no longer eat dairy, eggs, red meat or seafood. The only thing that I still eat, which has been the hardest to cut out of my diet has been chicken lol. FUMO Restaurant has a brunch menu, which is what I ordered from but you can also order from their dinner menu during “brunch time”. Their brunch menu options are a little cheaper, but their dinner menu definitely has more options. However, whenever I go out to eat, I like to try vegan options. I decided to order the vegan burger, which is made with impossible meat, daiya (vegan) cheese and topped with tomato and lettuce. This burger also comes with avocado, but I no longer eat avocado so I noted for them not to include it on my burger. It is also topped with a vegan mayo but the server noted that he wasn’t sure what it was made of so I asked for it on the side. With your burger, you can either get truffle fries or field greens. I was definitely in a fries mood - because when am I not? LOL! So I asked the server for regular tries without the truffle. I also got a raspberry lemonade - which was the only flavored lemonade they offered. The food was really good! Definitely enjoyed my meal & would have it again. However, the raspberry lemonade was very heavy & tart. It gave me more of a fruit juice than a lemonade. I would have preferred to try their regular lemonade.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What You Need to Know Before Traveling to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Excursions</image:title>
<image:caption>As I mentioned earlier, the villa did assist us with booking excursions. The first day, we went parasailing with Cabo Expeditions. I’m not sure what the price was but even if you don’t stay at the villa we stayed at, you can book this excursion directly via Cabo Expeditions. The second day, we did an all day excursion with Wild Canyon. We paid $200 + $49 insurance for an all day pass which included ATV’s, UTV’s, ziplining, bunjee jumping, bunjee jump swing, horse back ride, and camel ride. I thought that this was a great price for a 6 hour excursion pack vs. paying for each excursion separately though other companies. The excursion also included a pick up and drop off from and to our villa. We paid an extra $15 for a lunch which included one entree and a drink. The third day, we rented a yacht via Cabo Luxury Yacht Rentals. This rental included lunch, a top shelf open bar, music and great vibes on the sea. We had an amazing time on the boat and the staff was super helpful, accommodating and fun! I would definitely recommend to do a boat ride while in Cabo to experience their beautiful water and see some whales!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What You Need to Know Before Traveling to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Nightlife</image:title>
<image:caption>As I mentioned earlier, Cabo San Lucas is known for their night life. However, due to the global pandemic, that has changed a lot. Majority of the populars clubs in Cabo San Lucas were closed when we visited. However, we went out one night to Mandala which was located on a strip with some other bars and night clubs. We had an amazing time. We did have to purchase bottle service for entry. Bottle service prices were similar to bottle service prices in the US. The music and vibes in the club were great and the club closed at about 4am. We were looking for hookah lounges but we were told that they were also closed due to COVID. However, we had traveled with our own hookahs so that didn’t bother us too much - lol. If you want to travel with your hookah, you must pack it + all of your accessories in your carry on bag. Overall, night life in Cabo didn’t have too many options but majority of the nights were stayed in our villa and had our own party.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What You Need to Know Before Traveling to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico During Global Pandemic - COVID Testing</image:title>
<image:caption>As of January 26, 2021 if you depart from the US and travel to any other country, you must present.a negative COVID test in order to return. There are special circumstances for some individuals, but this applies to the majority. You must also get your test 72 hours before the time of your return flight. Our villa was able to connect us with a doctor that came to the house to perform our COVID test for us. The price was $50 (at the time - I don’t usually like displaying prices people charge for things because if they raise their prices, they are 100% entitled to!) - but just to give you all an estimate of how much this is. All of our tests came back negative and we were cleared to return back home. We were not able to check into our return flight via our phones. We had to check in at the airlines desk once we arrived to the airport. When checking into our return flight, we had to present documentation of our negative test results in order to be checked in. If you are staying at a hotel, I have heard that majority of the hotels in Cabo San Lucas are offering COVID testing on site or nearby (at a pharmacy or hotel). I would recommend to have plans for your COVID test in advance. Whether you contact your hotel in advance and get information or finding a specific doctor and making an appointment. The doctor who performed our COVID testing, is also allowing me to share his contact information with any groups of individuals who are traveling to Cabo San Lucas and would like for him to service their group. In order to receive his contact information, please send me at email - contact@kensthetic.net letting me know you would like his information. Serious inquiries only & PLEASE allow me time to respond (at least a week).</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Valentines Day 2021 Smells like Self Care, Self Love & Baccarat - 3. Treat Yourself to Something You Like</image:title>
<image:caption>One thing I’m always going to do, is treat myself - for small wins, big wins, no wins lol. I always make sure to reward myself for simply being myself lol. However, Valentine’s Day is a perfect excuse to spoil yourself with a small or big gift. Every Valentine’s Day I like to gift myself with a new fragrance. I am huge on fragrances because I always like to smell good. It makes me feel so luxurious, rich and fancy. If you need fragrance recommendations, you can check out my Youtube video with my fragrance collection & fragrance wishlist. However, treating yourself doesn’t have to be expensive or extensive. Feel free to treat yourself to your favorite wine, meal, snack, box of chocolates, or anything else that can make you feel good on Valentine’s Day.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Take a bath, get your nails done, get your hair done, light a candle, book a massage, watch a movie! Use Valentine’s Day for a self-care day. You don’t need anyone else to do these things with you on this day. Do it with you, for you! For Valentine’s Day 2021, I plan on taking a nice long bath, I’ll probably end up taking a nap in my bath knowing myself lol, reading a book or watching a show/movie on my iPad. I also plan on doing a likkle Valentines’s Day photo shoot at home. I find taking pictures and creating scenes for photos therapeutic so I’ll definitely be sharing those photos with you all during Valentine’s weekend! I’m also going to treat myself to a pedicure - I haven’t gotten a pedicure since before the Christmas holiday (lolol). Figure out what self care means to you & practice that on February 14th! If you need ideas on self-care, you can check out this self care vlog on my Youtube channel!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Valentines Day is a “holiday” that we usually equate to receiving signs of love from others - our significant others, bae, ting, entangler (lol), etc. I used to have the same thought process. However, for the past few years, my perspective of this day has changed so much once I realized that I don’t love myself as much as I should. Therefore, I’ve been using Valentine’s Day as a day to shower myself with love, care, & signs of love. Whether you’re single, taken, or confused for Valentine’s Day 2021, here are some things that you can do to ensure that your Valentine’s Day 2021 smells like self care, self love & Baccarat okurrr!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Valentines Day 2021 Smells like Self Care, Self Love & Baccarat - Order Yourself Some Flowers</image:title>
<image:caption>One thing about me is that I loveee me some flowers! Specifically I love me some roses & love them even more when they start dying (is it just me?) This Valentine’s Day season, Costco has the girls & guys covered. Costco is currently offering pre-orders of 50 roses for $40 & $55! I believe the $40 special is sold out but I still think that $55 for 50 roses is a great deal. To put it in perspective, two dozen roses usually retails for about $60+. Costco also has different colors & color combos. Show yourself some love & order some flowers to make yourself feel good!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What You Need to Know Before Traveling To Aruba During Global Pandemic - Brunch at the Crib</image:title>
<image:caption>During our last full day in Aruba, we did a birthday brunch for Kerrisha birthday. We cooked the food that we had brought from the grocery store and set up the balcony with all of the food and decorations. With Kerrisha being as extra as she is, she brought her own decorations to fit her inspired theme. We had a great time eating, drinking and vibing. We spent the rest of the day chilling by the pool. That night, we went to a bar (I was too lit to remember the name lol) - but it was directly across the street from Southbeach Aruba and has a live band playing.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What You Need to Know Before Traveling To Aruba During Global Pandemic - Renaissance Flamingo Beach</image:title>
<image:caption>The following day, we checked into Renaissance hotel so that we could have access to their flamingo beach. The Renaissance is a flamingo beach in which only their visitors and people who buy day passes can access. When we did the math, it was cheaper to book rooms at the Renaissance hotel in pairs (2 people per room) vs. booking individual day passes to visit the Flamingo Beach. We were able to check into the hotel around 1:30pm & then headed to the Flamingo Beach. You catch the boat from the hotel to the Flamingo Beach behind Lucys (across the street from Renaissance Hotel). You have to show your hotel key card or day pass in order to board the boat. The boat ride from the dock to Flamingo Beach was less than 5 minutes. When you arrive to the destination, there are two beaches/two sides to the beach - Flamingo Beach & Iguana Beach. We spent majority of our time on Flamingo Beach. The objective of the beach is to be a relaxing get away. Therefore, they do not play any music. There is a snack bar & restaurant on the Flamingo Beach. I had a frozen strawberry margarita (this was my drink of the trip lol) & french fries from the snack bar. I also paid for some food to feed the flamingoes (I believe this was $1USD). There are also cabanas available on Flamingo beach. However, they were all booked for the day we planned to visit. If you would like to reserve a cabana, I would recommend to do it as early as possible. I’m not sure if they allow you to reserve them days in advance, so I would inquire to verify. If you don’t reserve a cabana, you will have to scout beach chairs, seating areas on the beach. A party left as soon as we arrived so we were able to get a few beach chairs. For the most part, it was pretty packed by the time we arrived. Therefore, I would also recommend to head to the beach as early as possible. There are so many places to take photos on the beaches, so I would recommend packing multiple outfits to get your experience worth if you are a content creator or someone who enjoys taking photos. The perk of us booking the hotel rooms vs. paying for the day pass is that we also had the option of visiting the beach the following day too since checkout is at noon. With the day pass, you can only visit the beach the day you buy your pass for.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What You Need to Know Before Traveling To Aruba During Global Pandemic - Flying Fishbone</image:title>
<image:caption>The day of our arrival, we settled into the house and went grocery shopping at nearby grocery store. We wanted to stock up on groceries that we can use to make quick meals, snacks and breakfast foods. We then got ready to head to Flying Fishbone for dinner. We called in advance to make reservations to ensure we were able to be seated at the time we arrived to the restaurant. Due to COVID restrictions, they were only seating four people at a table. Therefore, we had to split our party into two tables (one table fo four people and another table of three people). The drive from our Airbnb to Flying Fishbone was about twenty minutes. Upon arrival, we were seated right away since we had made reservations. At this restaurant, the tables are in the water upon a beautiful view. The restaurant has an area to store your shoes so that you don’t have to hold them with you at your table. When we went, the restaurant was not packed at all so we we didn’t feel uncomfortable leaving our shoes “unattended”. The seating area isn’t too big either so you’re able to keep an eye on your shoes. The menu at this restaurant is 95% seafood (as expected), but I no longer eat seafood. I had a pasta with marinara sauce, a side of french fries and two frozen strawberry margaritas. My meal was delicious and the drinks were bussssinnnn!!! If you try this restaurant, you haveeeee to try their frozen strawberry margarita. After we were done with dinner, the restaurant has an area to rinse off your feet before departing. We also took some photos in the entry/exit way of the restaurant before leaving. I would recommend this restaurant when visiting Aruba. I think that it would be beautiful during sunset, whether you’re with your friends or bae, I think that it will be a wonderful experience.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What You Need to Know Before Traveling To Aruba During Global Pandemic - Boat Snorkeling Excursion</image:title>
<image:caption>The next day, October 31st (the day of Kerrisha birthday), we did a boat tour excursion. The boat excursion is hosted by Pelican Adventures. We booked this about a month in advance of our trip via their site. The tour included unlimited drinks, a calm lunch meal (burrito & chips), two areas to snorkel, music. The excursion does not include hotel pick up, therefore you will be responsible to get to and from the dock of the boat. The boat tour is also kid friendly, so if you are traveling with children, they are able to go on this excursion. There is also a restroom on the boat. The tour operates for 2.5 hours and there is a day time and sunset option. We did the day time option because we wanted the rest of the day to do something else. I thought that the length of this time was appropriate for what it included. At the dock of the boat excursion, there are restaurants as well as other excursions on the beach (parasailing, jet skis, etc.) The excursions on the beach are available until 5:00pm. After we finished our boat tour, we ate at the Pelican Nest Seafood Grill. We did not do a reservation ahead of time, we just walked in and were able to be seated upon arrival. The food was okayyyy - it’s nothing that I would go for again. The drinks were also subpar. It was good because we were hungry after being on the water but definitely wouldn’t be my first choice.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What You Need to Know Before Traveling To Aruba During Global Pandemic - Southbeach Aruba</image:title>
<image:caption>After the boat tour excursion, we went home and freshened up and then went to Southbeach Aruba. Southbeach Aruba gives night time lounge vibes. They have tables set up (once again, it was four people allowed at each table), hookah, drinks and a live DJ. We ordered drinks and hookah & the music was actually really really good. However, we had to remain seated the whole time, and couldn’t get up to dance or move around too much. The manager of the spot was also walking around the spot greeting guests & making sure everyone’s service was going well. However, at 11:00pm, the police pulled up to shut the place down because of restrictions in the country at the time. All spots were supposed to be closed at 11:00pm, so we had to hurry and pay our bill and exit the premises. Therefore, if you’re planning to enjoy nightlife in Aruba, I would recommend understanding what the rules, guidelines and restrictions are on the island at the time because they are changing from month to month.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - My 2020 Recap: Highlights, Lessons Learned, Growth, + More - 2. Launching My Website!</image:title>
<image:caption>At the beginning of Q3 2020, a group of girlfriends and I had a coaching session with a social media strategist. One of my biggest takeaways was that we can’t control any of these social media platforms. Therefore, if they decide to close down their site on any given day, we lose everything. This was always been a thought that I have had, but I never took action on it. Immediately after that coaching session, I started working on creating my website. I told myself that by the end of Q3 2020, I wanted my website to be up and running. In true Kensthetic fashion, it was done - ASAP lol. I launched my website to my audience on October 1, 2020 and received an immense amount of support. Through my journey of creating my whole website on my own, I learned so many things about branding and the direction I want to take my personal brand. Here were some of my takeaways: You want to build your own website or have whoever is building it teach you how to update it when you want/need to. One thing about me is that I do not like to depend on other people. I like to know how to do things on my own or teach myself how to so that things can get done on my timing. Your website should be the hub for your brand. A viewer should be able to visit your website & see everything that you have to offer. Treat your website the same way that you treat social media platforms because in a sense - this is your personalized social media platform. Update photos frequently, connect with your audience, provide refreshing content that will entice people to keep coming back. I would encourage everyone - business owners, creatives, etc. to prioritize creating their own website. This should definitely be on your Q1 2021 to-do list. If you don’t have the capacity for this in the first quarter of the new year, at least purchase your domain so that you can ensure that you at least have that secured.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - My 2020 Recap: Highlights, Lessons Learned, Growth, + More - Whew Chile! Here’s a long one!</image:title>
<image:caption>This is something that I don’t speak about often & people probably don’t expect. But at the beginning of 2020, I was going through a ton of changes in my life. Starting a new job, changes with my skin, changes with my hair, still transitioning from an unhealthy (or as folks say now - toxic) ‘entanglement’ lol. My life was just a hot mess at the beginning of 2020. However, I made it my business to ensure that throughout 2020 I built myself tf back up! Mentally, emotionally, physically, financially. I took charge of my life in all aspects. My hair was in shambles y’all. I was so over the color in my hair but I also did not want to cut all my hair at once and be bald lol. So I told myself I would wear protective styles and allow my hair to grow out some before taking the leap and chopping the colored ends off - which I did in October 2020. It’s crazy how much of a difference a change in your hair can make in your life. But to me, it symbolized a new beginning. I always heard “a woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life” and always thought it was cliché. Girl - as soon as I cut my hair my life started to change in ways that I was not even expecting, in both positive & negative ways - but we’ll get to that in another episode of my life lol. If you have been following me on socials, you know that 2020 has been a rollercoaster with my acne journey. My skin has been through it all this year but I feel like I finally have a handle on it and we’re in a good space now - internally & externally. My biggest take away from my acne journey in 2020 is that your diet has a huge impact on your skin. If you don’t fix your internal issues, you can’t expect to see external results. The line “Focus on yourself queen” has been living rent-free in my head all 2020. For so long, I have been focused on others in my life and tend to not put myself first. 2020 was the first year that I prioritized myself, my happiness, my needs, my expectations & boy did it feel amazing! I was not only able to accomplish majority of my 2020 goals, but I was able to exceed them. I would highly recommend (10/10) to focus on yourself first. Stop focusing on man, relationship, etc. FOCUS ON YOURSELF FIRST! How can you expect to be good for anyone when you’re not even good for yourself? At the beginning of 2020, I would smile just to smile but at the end of 2020 I can proudly say that I can feel my smile, internally & externally. The progression of the meaning of my smile has been a metaphor for so many things in my life. I think this is the reason why I smile so much in my pictures now lol. It’s just really crazy how much life can change within a year!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - My 2020 Recap: Highlights, Lessons Learned, Growth, + More - 5. Growing My Social Community</image:title>
<image:caption>In 2020, I have grown my social communities on every platform which I’m so happy about. Having an online presence to me is more than posting cute pictures and gaining followers. Having an online presence for me is all about the impact. The impact of executing the mission statement of my brand - sharing my perspective of beauty in all aspects of life & to encourage you all to do the same. Growing my social community is of course the goal but it’s not my priority. My priority is connecting with as many people as possible. Whether that is done by people simply watching my content or engaging in personal conversations. I want to know each and everyone in my community by name & have a connection with each person. The fact that in 2020, I was able to grow my social community so much & create so many great relationships was honestly awesome to me! I can’t wait to create more meaningful content in 2021 and connect with even more people!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - My 2020 Recap: Highlights, Lessons Learned, Growth, + More - Hosting My First Speaking Engagement</image:title>
<image:caption>Two things that I am passionate about are skincare and supporting my friends. In October 2020, I had the pleasure of having my first speaking engagement with my friend Fatima’s brand, Moussou Beauty - virtually of course lol. We spoke about the importance of skin care, stigmas about black skin care & my transparency with my acne journey. I had so much fun sharing the skincare knowledge that I had and helping our audiences gain a more clear understanding of skincare expectations - especially when it comes to caring for black skin. <image:caption>I started breaking out with hormonal acne in May 2019. I started seeing my esthetician, Cynthia in June 2019 and she has helped me transform my skin in ways that I did not know were possible. In January 2020, she launched her own product line and her products have elevated my skin care routines tremendously. Seeing progress in your skin is 40% from skin treatments from professionals and 60% from at home skin routines. I definitely learned this once the global pandemic began and all spas in New York state were ordered to close. My skin has made great progress within the past few months. The image on the right shows my skin earlier this year (January 2020) and this summer (July 2020) after incorporating Cynthia’s products in my skin care routines, Here are some of my favorite products from Cynthia Aesthetics: Pigment Cleanser - This cleanser is targets hyperpigmentation and results in radiant skin. <image:caption>Within the past few months, I started making a conscious effort to start being more cautious of what I put on my skin, hair and diet and trying to use more clean beauty products. After hearing the story behind The Lip Bar brand - driving cross country to sell their products from a truck & being declined in Shark Tank, I earned a higher level of respect for the brand. The Lip Bar is vegan, cruelty free, inclusive brand. Here are some of my favorite products from The Lip Bar: ‘Bawse Lady’ (pictured on the left) is my all time favorite red liquid lipstick. ‘Island Gyal’ Cheek & Eye Palette - I love The Lip Bar Cheek Palettes because they’re super versatile. They can be used as blushes, contours, and eyeshadows. These palettes also make it easier to pack makeup while traveling since I can pack this one item for so many steps. My favorite is the Island Gyal palette because it has such unique colors. ‘Dream Chaser’ Lip Gloss - A beautiful pinky/purple lip gloss with a slight holographic effect. The formula is comfortable & moisturizing for the lips.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This fall season, grab a friend - or five and visit an orchard! With the global pandemic still around, it may be difficult to find activities to engage in with all of the social distancing requirements. However, an orchard is a great experience to have some fun while being able to social distance. About two years ago I visited Fishkill Farm and had a great experience. After being stuck in the house (besides when I visit Target lol) for so long, I suggested to my friend, Sharma, that we should visit an orchard for some fall fun before the weather gets too chilly. She was down & we decided to go on Saturday, October 10th. We had such a great time & would definitely recommend to you all & for us to do again next fall season!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Apple Picking, Pumpkin Patch & Cider Tasting Near New York City: Fishkill Farm - What to Wear?</image:title>
<image:caption>If you’re visiting an orchard to get some content (like I did lol) then your first concern is probably - what should I wear? I searched on Pinterest for hours trying to find outfit inspiration for my day trip. However, I didn’t find anything that was fitting. So I visited my recently purchased fall items and whipped something together from my closet. While picking out an outfit for visiting an Orchard, here are some additional things to keep in mind to ensure a comfortable experience: Check the weather before the date of your visit. Fishkill Farm is located “Upstate New York” so keep in mind that it tends to get cooler in the evenings. So I would recommend to bring a sweater/coat and incorporate it in your outfit if you can. Keep in mind that there are tons of smushed apples on the floor throughout the orchard, therefore I would recommend wearing flat shoes (sneakers, flat boots, etc) that you don’t mind if they get messed up. I wore sneakers that had suede panels and thankfully they didn’t get messed up. Also, keep in mind that the orchard tends to be dusty. Therefore, I would recommend wearing a pair of sunglasses to help prevent dust from getting in your eyes. You can check out my ‘Fall 2020 Fashion Trends’ and ‘Fall Fashion Haul’ (linked down below) for fall outfit inspiration if you’re attending an orchard or for fall in general.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Apple Picking, Pumpkin Patch & Cider Tasting Near New York City: Fishkill Farm - How To Get There?</image:title>
<image:caption>Fishkill Farms (located at 9 Fishkill Farm Road Hopewell Junction, NY 12533) is an hour drive from the Bronx. Sharma & I drove there on a Sunday afternoon and experienced a little bit of traffic, and got there in an hour and 5 minutes. If you own a vehicle, you can make the drive to Fishkill Farm and if not you can always rent a car to drive. I do not believe there are any sources of public transportation that you can take to Fishkill Farm. The drive had beautiful views and relaxing vibes. On the way there we listened to Trey Songz new album, ‘Back Home’ (which is bomb af by the way lol). But the fall foliage is absolutely breathtaking ! Admission Due to the global pandemic and social distancing requirements, the farm does require that all visitors make a reservation online before visiting. We booked the ‘Weekend - Classic Pick Your Own Apple Package’ for 2:30pm. This package included admission for up to five people & a half bushel of apples (see website for more information). Upon arrival to the farm, we were asked if we had a reservation in order to enter the parking lot. We found parking easily and went to a check in counter where we collected our bag for our apples and a map of the orchard. We were then free to explore and pick our apples! You are also required to wear your mask the entire time of your visit.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Apple Picking, Pumpkin Patch & Cider Tasting Near New York City: Fishkill Farm</image:title>
<image:caption>At Fishkill Farm, there are a lot of activities to do! It is friend, couple & family friendly so feel free to attend with who ever you would like: Apple Picking: There are dozens of types of apples to choose from. Just keep in mind that each type of apple ripes within certain months of the end of summer/early fall season. Therefore, if there is a certain apple you would like to pick, do research before choosing your date for apple picking to see when it will ripe. Pumpkin Picking: On the orchard there is also a pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkin (may be an additional charge depending on the reservation you purchase). If you do end up picking pumpkins, the orchard has wagons for rent (similar to the one pictured above) for $10 (you give them $20 and they return $10 once you return the wagon) so that you don’t have to carry it back. Cider Tasting: There’s a separate reservation if you would like to do cider tasting. This option includes cheese & a charcuterie board (they have vegan options). Other Add-Ons: You can also pick organic herbs, organic flowers & organic peppers which will be an additional charge. Indoor Grocery Store: You can purchase cider, pies, souvenirs, etc. to go home with. Outdoor Grocery Store: You can purchase pumpkins, squash, plants for your home garden, etc. to go home with. Hayride: On weekends, there is a hayride which can get your around if you need assistance getting around the orchard. The hayride goes in a single loop and makes a total of four stops. Have Lunch: At the farm, there are several restaurants and food trucks to buy lunch from. The day we went, we saw a Mexican restaurant, a general restaurant and some food trucks. We ended up buying lunch from “the general restaurant” - Jamaican jerk chicken, rice & peas & a code froze. The jerk chicken and rice was good but the chicken tasted more like baked chicken, rather than jerk. The pricing of food was also kind of expensive (I paid $25 for everything) so if you would like to save some coin, you can pack your own lunch to go. Donut Counter: The most anticipated part of any apple picking experience lol. DONUTS! If you have never tried donuts from an orchard then I would highly recommend to get your life together & try it out. My mother specifically told me - do not come home without her donuts lol. They sell them 6 (half dozen) for $7 or a dozen for $12. They offer plan & cinnamon sugar flavors. I ended up getting two dozen (one dozen plan & one dozen mixed - half plain, half cinnamon sugar). Be mindful that there will be lines for almost every food & shopping experience (especially if you go one a weekend). Which is another reason that I recommend you wear comfortable shoes! The lines ended up moving pretty quickly so it didn’t end up being too bad.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Apple Picking, Pumpkin Patch & Cider Tasting Near New York City: Fishkill Farm - How to Apple Pick? What You Need To Know</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m going to honest. I don’t know one lick about picking an apple lol. But don’t worry, the orchard does an amazing job helping with that! At the beginning of each aisle of apples, there’s a post with the type of apple you can find within the aisle & when it typically ripes. There’s also a sign noting if the apple is ripe and ready to be picked. This was super helpful because we just ended up wandering to pick apples in the aisles that noted the type of apple was ripe and ready to be picked. When picking apples we also made sure that there were not any bugs on them and the apple didn’t have any defects (holes, bumps, rotting, etc.) As I noted earlier, you will find a bunch of apples on the ground throughout the orchard so be careful while walking around. I also would’nt recommend picking apples that have fallen off the tree.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Dinner at Burrito Amour on Avenue Tulum</image:title>
<image:caption>After leaving Antojitos, we walked to Burrito Amour which was one block away. We were still hungry and wanted to find a restaurant with better menu options. Upon being seated at our table, we were presented with a QR code to scan in order to view the menu. Burrito Amour focuses on clean eating and has menu options that compliment different diets - vegan, pescatarian, vegetarian, etc. They also make their burritos on gluten-free handmade coconut tortillas. This was a huge deal to me because I usually struggle with finding menu options that compliment my complicated diet (dairy-free, no red meat, no seafood). I ordered their Chicken Breast Burrito and a fresh pineapple juice. The burrito came out wrapped in bamboo leaves. This meal ended up being sooooo good - that we ate here three times during our three night stay (lol). I also ended up trying the Vegetarian Burrito - which was also very delicious and their fresh orange juice - which was probably the best fresh juice I’ve had in a while. The restaurant also doesn’t use plastic straws - which I also appreciated and provides agave biodegradable straws. The food was also reasonably priced - about $5 USD for a burrito. Their customer service was also very welcoming and caring. I would highly recommend to eat at Burrito Amour while in Tulum, Mexico!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Dinner at “Antojitos” on Avenue Tulum</image:title>
<image:caption>On Friday when we arrived, we showered and settled in and walked to Avenue Tulum to find a restaurant to have dinner. Our Airbnb was walking distance (8 minutes) from Avenue Tulum. We searched on Yelp and found Antojitos which had 4.5 stars. When we arrived to the restaurant they took our temperatures before entry and sanitized our table and chairs in front of us - which I appreciated. Their menu was posted on the wall and consisted of tacos, empanadas and drinks. Each taco and empanada was about seventy cents USD. This was my first time visiting Mexico & I always heard that the food was super cheap so I didn’t think anything of the low price of food. I ordered two chicken tacos and two chicken empanadas and a bottle of water. The food came out super quick and wasn’t really aesthetically pleasing. However, sometimes things taste better than they look. I tried the chicken taco and the chicken meat was barely seasoned and super oily. I didn’t finish the remainder of my food because I didn’t want to ruin my stomach on the first night. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend dining at Antojitos - even though they somehow have 4.5 stars on Yelp.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Souvenir Shopping on Avenue Tulum</image:title>
<image:caption>After getting our tattoos done, we went souvenir shopping on Avenue Tulum to get some goodies for ourselves and our friends and family. There are so many shops on Avenue Tulum to purchase almost anything you would like to get! Our taxi driver also told us that shopping for souvenirs on Avenue Tulum is way cheaper than shopping for souvenirs along the beach front (especially if you are staying at a hotel on the beach). I ended up purchasing a bracelet (pictured on the left) from a shop for $5 USD. While souvenir shopping, you can use your negotiation skills to purchase items at a lower price - especially if you’re purchasing several items from one vendor.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Hotel Ahau Tulum</image:title>
<image:caption>On Sunday, we started off our day by visiting Hotel Ahau Tulum to take a photo at this site (photo on left). Our personal driver, Armando, suggested that we take a photo here since it is considered a popular photo location in Tulum. When we arrived there was a line of people waiting to take photos at this site. We had to wait in line for about 15 minutes until it was our turn to take photos. We took these photos on our iPhones using the .5x feature in order to capture the whole scenery without requiring the photographer to stand in the middle of traffic. If you are planning to visit this site to take photos, I would recommend to arrive to the site as early as possible so you can avoid having to wait in line or the possibility of a crowd to be in the background of your photos.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - BAK by Harry’s</image:title>
<image:caption>For our last dinner in Tulum, Mexico we decided to dine at BAK by Harry’s per Armando’s recommendation. Before arriving, we made a reservation by calling the restaurant. Upon arrival, they performed a temperature check and let us scan the menu via QR code to review while we waited for our table at the bar. BAK is definitely a more “dress up attire” restaurant. Therefore, if you are planning to dine for dinner, I would definitely recommend a dress and heels - I switched into my heels just for my photos though (lol). I ordered their Beyond Burger with fries and a strawberry lemonade and it was honestly my best meal that I had while in Tulum, Mexico! BAK is also a great recommendation if you are in Tulum for your birthday because they come out to sing you happy birthday and bring out a cute desert. This was our most expensive meal while in Tulum, Mexico. We each ended up paying about $60 for dinner which I thought was appropriate due to the great customer service, atmosphere and amazing food. Overall, I would definitely recommend dining at BAK for dinner while in Tulum!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Why Tulum, Mexico?</image:title>
<image:caption>Right now, as an American citizens, we have limited options of where we can travel to. We’re even more limited of where we can travel to that does not have a running list of requirements to enter. In order to enter Mexico right now, they do not require American citizens to present any testing prior to visiting their county. Tulum’s aesthetic definitely gives luxury but at a budget price. To me, I think that Tulum low key gives Bali vibes on a cheaper budget - especially since travel expenses cost less. Mexico also a four hour direct plane ride from New York City (JFK) compared to the 20+ hour travel to Bali. This was also my first time visiting Mexico. As someone who is always traveling, people always get surprised when I tell them that I never visited Miami or Mexico. Sidebar - I still have not visited Miami. Tulum has been on my list of places that I would like to visit for the longest but I never got around to actually planning the trip.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Tattoos at Latin Ink Tulum</image:title>
<image:caption>After leaving Casa Malca, we stopped at Latin Ink Tulum to get tattoos. Before traveling to Tulum, Mexico we knew that we wanted to get tattoos while in Tulum but we had no idea we would get them done on Saturday evening. We had initially planned to get them done the day before we left since we wouldn’t be able to get in the pool after getting them done. However, we realized that we wouldn’t have much time to chill in the pool with the packed agenda that we had. The starting price of tattoos at Latin Ink Tattoo was $50 USD and they only accept cash. You can pay by cash with pesos or USD. I ended up getting three small tattoos - a small heart behind my left ear, “faith” on my right wrist and a small cross on my right pointer finger. I found all of my tattoo inspiration on Pinterest and they were able to print it directly from Pinterest to convert to the stencil for my tattoo. I ended up paying $75 USD for all three of my tattoos and was very satisfied with my results. The artist who did my tattoos was Alessandro. I would highly recommend to visit Latin Ink Tattoo Tulum if you want to get tattoos done while in Tulum, Mexico.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Casa Malca</image:title>
<image:caption>On Saturday, after having brunch at Burrito Amour, we ended up going to visit Casa Malca, which is a hotel where Pablo Escobar’s mansion is located. Casa Malca was about a 20 minute drive from Burrito Amour and we used our personal taxi driver, Armando, to transport us around during the remainder of our stay in Tulum. Upon entry, they required us to put on a mask and performed a temperature check. We had to pay upon entry. The price for entry was $91 USD. We were presented with the option to pay with pesos, US dollars or debit/credit card. I paid with my debit card so that I would have enough pesos to last me the remainder of the trip. The cost of entry included a stipend to eat at one of three restaurants and the remainder was for the entry to Casa Malca for the day. Upon entry we went to Pablo Escobar mansion and took some pictures. We didn’t know that Casa Malca was “an all day activity”. They have a beach, pools, and so many other places to take pictures and relax for the day! If you are planning to visit Casa Malca, I would recommend to pack multiple outfits (including a bathing suit or two) - especially if you are interested in getting content while at Casa Malca. I would also recommend to plan to stay there for the full day to get your money’s worth and to arrive at around 11am-noon before the crowd starts to arrive. We ended up having lunch at Philosophy which is a restaurant that combines traditional Mexican dishes with contemporary interpretations of world cuisines. I ordered the vegan burger which was served with a side of “waffle fries” and a passionfruit lemonade. The burger and lemonade were good but I could’ve done without the fries. We stayed at Casa Malca for about two hours and had a good time but we wished we prepared to spend more time there.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic</image:title>
<image:caption>I thought it would be best to stay in an Airbnb while visiting Tulum, Mexico to stick to our budget. We stayed in Tulum for a total of three nights and we wanted to stay at a place that would be picture-friendly for us to be able to shoot content. Our Airbnb totaled $380 and we split the cost between everyone (there were three of us) - so we each paid about $128. The Airbnb had great reviews highlighting that the hosts were super nice and helpful with their accommodations during their trip. The Airbnb host assisted us with reserving a personal driver to transport us from Cancun International Airport to the Airbnb in Tulum - which is a two hour drive. They also had bikes available for rental to use within the Tulum area. The Airbnb was very secure which was another requirement that we had when searching for somewhere to stay. The place has 24 hour security on site. There is also a code on the front gate, a gate in front of the personal penthouse which requires a key and a lock on the actual door to enter the apartment.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Traveling to Tulum, Mexico</image:title>
<image:caption>The closest airport to Tulum, Mexico is Cancun International Airport (CUN). We booked our flights from JFK to CUN on July 21, 2020 - exactly one month before our trip via American Airlines. We paid $280 round trip and our flight was originally direct both ways. However, a week before our flight, American Airlines cancelled the direct flight and added a layover in Charlotte Douglas International Airport in both directions. We didn’t mind because each layover was about an hour. While traveling with American Airlines, I noted that the airline was strictly enforcing their one personal item & one carry on allowance. I traveled with my Prada Crossbody bag (in picture on the right), my Supreme backpack and my Samsonite carry on luggage. Before boarding each flight, the gate attendant required me to consolidate my bags so I threw my Prada bag in my Supreme backpack. Upon boarding the plane, a flight attendant gave each passenger a bag with a sanitizing wipe, a small bottle of water & a snack. When I arrived to my seat, I wiped my seat, seatbelt & everything that I could possibly touch during the flight, down with personal wipes that I carried with me and sprayed everything down with some sanitizing spray. American Airlines also required every passenger to wear their face masks the entire duration of the flight. During each flight, I didn’t use the rest room on the airplane because I always had a “phobia” using restrooms on the plane. I used the restroom in the airport before I boarded each flight. I would recommend to travel with your sanitizing materials (hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, sanitizing spray & disposable seat covers -if you are that extra). Before getting off the plane, the American Airline flight attendants provided us with an immigration form for Mexico. We had to complete the upper half of the form before going through immigration upon arrival & we had to keep the bottom half (departure card) of the form to present when departing from Mexico. They noted that if you lost the departure card before your departure, you would have to pay a fine.</image:caption>

<image:caption>We then went to El Pescador for dinner which is the restaurant of our taxi driver. The atmosphere of the restaurant was such a vibe with the lit up bulbs hanging and the bamboo structure of the bar. I ordered the chicken tacos and a pineapple lemonade and chef kiss both were on point. While we were eating at the restaurant, they also gave our table the iPad to control the music that was playing in the restaurant. We ended up sitting around and chilling at the restaurant even after we finished eating. I would definitely recommend to dine at El Pescador while in Tulum!</image:caption>

<image:caption>After having a late lunch at Taboo Restaurant, we went to watch the sunset at Hotelito Azul. Our taxi driver, Armando recommended it for one of the best sunsets in Tulum. To get into the roodtop for Hotelito Azul, they required us to pay a cover fee of $35 USD but our taxi driver negotiated for us to have to buy at least one drink while on the rooftop. On the rooftop, there is a bar, a small pool and tables to dine. They offer food, drinks and hookah. The sunset view from Hotelito Azul was really amazing and great to watch - especially since the location wasn’t packed with people. While visiting the hotel for sunset, I realized how amazing the hotel was and added it to my list of places I would stay the next time I visit Tulum.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Visiting Tulum, Mexico During Global Pandemic - Taboo Restaurant</image:title>
<image:caption>After stopping at Hotel Ahau to take pictures, we went to Taboo Restaurant. The two locations were about a five minute drive apart. “Taboo” has a beach club and a restaurant. The beach club closes at 5pm and the restaurant closes at 11pm. Upon entry, they performed a temperature check at the host desk and we were immediately seated at our table. The music and vibes at Taboo restaurant were amazing! Our host came by and gave us physical menus - which was the first time a restaurant gave us physical menus. I ended up ordering chicken with roasted potato. This wasn’t on the menu but I already had an idea in mind of what I wanted to eat. The menu mainly had choices with seafood or dairy - which are two things that I don’t eat. The food ended up being so good! It was also the second most expensive meal while in Tulum (we each paid about $50-55 USD), At Taboo restaurant the manager was out and about mingling with guests which I liked to see. You could tell he genuinely cared that guests were enjoying themselves. The hosts also had great customer service. They were all willing to help even if it wasn’t helping their assigned tables. Taboo restaurant also gave me day party vibes. Almost everyone was lit, ordering bottles, dancing and having a great time. I would definitely recommend to dine at Taboo restaurant while in Tulum, Mexico.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - Wassup, I’m Kendra!</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m a 30 year old Bronx native (born & raised). I am of Dominican (West Indian) decent. Upon graduating from Binghamton University in 2016 with my Bachelor’s in Accounting with a concentration in Leadership & Consulting, I am now a full time financial consultant for a consulting firm and a digital creator. I started my journey as a digital creator because people would always ask me questions about my hair or fashion. I also have a strong passion for creating content - taking pictures, editing graphics & videos. In August 2018, I started my Youtube platform with the intention of sharing my perspective of beauty in all areas of my life - hence the brand name “Kensthetic”. Since then, my social platforms have grown beyond my expectations. I now have a family of 23,000+ people via social media that support me & motivate me on a daily basis. Through my four years of professional experience working as an accountant, auditor & now financial consultant, I have worked with a wide array of both public & private clients in different fields to help them with financial, operational and compliance services. I am now extending myself & my knowledge to provide services to small business owners & entrepreneurs hoping to assist them with their personal & professional goals.</image:caption>
